Founding Members ensure their place in my first cohort!
Additional members will be accepted as soon as I’m able.

-
Initially, yes, so that I can ensure members and non-members receive excellent care; my hope is to eventually expand membership to as many people that want it.
-
Membership is an additional fee for expanded portal access, priority scheduling, and a deeper level of ongoing, connected care.
Membership also includes a 30-minute Annual Strategy Session ($200 value).
Additional visits are available at the regular fee schedule, $200 for 30 minutes and $400 for 60 minutes.
-
The truth is that I’m not sure. We’ll see how this goes.
I’m looking for ways to better meet my patients’ needs while taking care of myself as I get older and move into the next phase of my life. I don’t feel remotely close to retirement, but after 25 years of practice, and just sending my son to college, I am interested in finding ways to not necessarily work less, but to work better. I want to practice good medicine, see the people who I have the skills to help the most, and stay in love with what I do. My hope is that this membership prgram will help me do all of those things.
MEMBER’S ANNUAL STRATEGY SESSION
-
A member’s Annual Strategy Session is a 30-minute visit that is included with your membership each year; its purpose is to ‘zoom out’ and focus on the big picture of your health. It will include goal-setting with specific quantifiable steps to meet those goals. This is a great time to drill down on health foundations, ie: diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management.
You can upgrade this visit to a member’s 60-minute Annual Strategy Session Deep Dive for $200 ($200 savings).
Annual Strategy Sessions are available to non-members at the regular fee schedule, $200 for 30 minutes and $400 for 60 minutes.
PORTAL MESSAGING
-
Portal responses should be expected within 2 BUSINESS DAYS (this does not include weekends) for BOTH members and non-members.
If you’ve messaged me in the portal, you know that my responses are usually the same or next day, even on the weekends, BUT I can’t guarantee this because life happens.
-
Administrative portal messages include prescription issues, requests for superbills, and rx or supplement timing issues, etc; They do not require clinical decision-making and can often be answered by Glynis.
Non-administrative portal messages include questions about your care, ie: adverse reactions, an issue you forgot to discuss at the last visit, a question from a podcast you listened to, a supplement recommendation, etc; They truly require clinical decision-making or expertise from yours truly.
-
Portal access is unlimited for administrative messages for both members and non-members.
Portal access for non-administrative messages is limited for non-members:
Each office visit includes ONE non-administrative follow-up portal message/conversation thread.
If you have additional non-administrative questions, please schedule a follow-up visit or save your non-urgent questions for your next visit.
Portal access for non-administrative messages is expanded for members:
This is different than unlimited and it is not meant to replace follow-up visits.
Expanded means that there is no specific limit on how many messages you can send, regardless of how often you come in for a visit.
I still encourage you to keep messages brief and to the point and bulleted when possible as that is the best way to make sure I understand your questions and concerns.
I will still ask members to schedule a visit if your message is about a complex issue that requires in-depth decision making, an exam, or a nuanced discussion beyond the scope of the portal.
-
It takes more time than you might think. Time to assess which labs should be ordered - going back to your chart, seeing what is needed, etc. - whether or not to use insurance, which lab you will use, and then time to place the order. I don’t have staff for this, so all this work falls to me.
I will make an exception when a non-member asks for something very specific, ie: ‘a repeat TSH, free T4, and free T3 from Quest using my insurance which is up-to-date in the portal’. In that case, I am happy to do it. The issue is that much of the time the request is something like, ‘Whatever you think I need’.
PRIORITY FOLLOW-UPS
-
In some ways it will be the same: When we have a visit, I will tell you when I think you should follow-up and my hope is that you do that, ie: 6 weeks out, 2 months out, or 2 weeks after you are planning to complete your labs.
What’s different: I will hold space for acute member visits so that you can be seen within 2 weeks
CAVEAT #1: This follow-up may need to be by phone or Zoom
CAVEAT #2: Since I have no control over your schedule, I need you to work with me to make the 2-week window happen; I will offer multiple slots on weekdays only between 8a-5p
-
Glynis and I have several levers we can pull to minimize this, and that is our plan.
The best way to ensure your follow-up time, as always, is to schedule follow-up based on what I recommend in your visit summary.
As always, Glynis will keep a waitlist; if you’ve used this before, you know that my schedule changes a lot and most of the time, we can get you in sooner when desired.
